This is the first part of a series detailing the benefits of the cloud and how various actors in your (“MSP”) or your customers’ organization may benefit from using a Workspace as a Service (“WaaS”).

By shifting this responsibility to the cloud service provider, IT team members can increase their productivity by focusing on new software and other technology to better enable the business.

In the current environment, where people bring their personal phones, tablets, and computers to work, WaaS provides secure access to files and applications from any device from within or outside the office. Cloud delivered Workspaces also allow companies with remote workforces to operate from home or satellite offices while maintaining security over their data and networks. Industries with high turnover or organizations handling sensitive data can benefit from this type of solution because of its inherent data security capabilities. With WaaS, administrators have the ability to control access by user, time of day, location, and more. These controls allow companies to create customized data security policies that fit their needs.
